Please join the Irish Network at the Irish Consulate to hear Graham Bowley discuss his New York Times best seller No Way Down. No Way Down is about the 2008 climbing tragedy on K2, the second tallest mountain on earth. Graham will discuss the incidents leading up to the tragedy as well as his interviews with climbers and family members after the incident and show footage of the mountain on the days surrounding the event.
Bowley studied economics at Bristol University and Oxford University. After working briefly as an economist for HM Treasury, he became a journalist and was a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times and the international Herald Tribune, living in Frankfurt and Brussels and reporting widely from across Europe. He now lives in New York where he is a staff reporter for The New York Times. He has worked for the newspaper’s Website and on the Times’ foreign desk, and has written for sections such as Week in Review and Travel. He now writes regularly about business news for the Times.

IN-NYC InterCeltic Charity Shield soccer
IN-NYC is hosting it’s 2nd Annual Charity Soccer Tournament. This years charitable recipient will be NYC Public School 242 Mott Hall, Bronx. All funds raised on the day will be donated to the purchasing of sports equipment and creating the schools inaugural soccer program.
